About

After a career in youth work and counselling, Melanie decided it was time for a change and studied at the University of Law, graduating with a GDL in 2016. Her most notable memory from that time was sitting her EU Law exam on the day Britain voted to leave the EU. Some years prior to that Melanie graduated with a BSc Hons in Psychology from Greenwich University.

Melanie initially joined Aletta Shaw in 2017, spending three years at the firm, working in the family department, private client team and conveyancing team. She took a break at the end of 2020 and returned to Aletta Shaw in 2022 as she likes it so much! Melanie now handles incoming calls and assists the family department.

Hobbies and Interests

Outside of work Melanie is very active and can often be found on the tennis or golf course or working her way through the couch to 5k program. More recently she has taken up squash which is very much a work in progress.
